Blogger and WordPress ~ True Confessions

I am a college student.  Obviously, or not, this is my first blogging homework assignment in my fascinating Web Development class.  I have explored WordPress and Blogger this past hour, creating profiles in both.  I have never blogged before.


Do they have extreme differences?    Probably not.  They are both web sites for strangers to blog and to read what others have blogged before.

• Blogger is a Google creation, WordPress is an Open Source Project.
• Blogger offers more level and ways to customize the templates (font, headers, HTML, etc), WordPress does not; although WordPress has100s of really cool templates to select from. 
• WordPress confirmed my new subscription, Blogger did not deploy an email.  Yet.
• Blogger seems simpler to navigate for a beginner, WordPress appeals to my inner geek, with its labels and orderly menu bars and clean look.

I really cannot blog anymore about these two sites until further research has been self conducted.  This has been my first blog, and there will be more.  Either here, or there.
